Ordu - Op. Dr. Halil ALAGÖZ: “Laser is an effective and comfortable option for urinary incontinence.”
Gynecology and Obstetrics Specialist Op. Dr. Halil ALAGÖZ from Özel Ordu Sevgi Hospital stated that urinary incontinence, especially common after childbirth or during menopause, negatively affects women’s quality of life. He emphasized that this issue can now be treated without surgery using laser applications.
Dr. ALAGÖZ explained that stress urinary incontinence is one of the most common types:
“Even simple movements such as coughing, sneezing, or laughing can lead to involuntary urine leakage. The laser method stimulates collagen production in the vaginal tissue, helping tighten the area and restore support to the bladder.”
He added that the procedure is painless, does not require anesthesia, and does not disrupt daily life. The effects of the treatment can be seen in 2–3 sessions, but personalized planning is essential for each patient.
