Born in 1946 in Ordu, Dr. Haluk Yürür completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown. He began his medical education at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1964 and graduated from the Çapa Medical Faculty in 1970.
After serving his military duty in Kızıltepe, Mardin (1970–1972), he started his urology residency at Ankara High Specialization Hospital in 1972 and became a specialist in 1975. He continued working at the same hospital as a senior assistant in 1975 and as associate chief in 1978.
Following his retirement in 2011 due to age limits, Dr. Yürür returned to Ordu and continues to practice medicine. He currently serves as a Urology Specialist at Private Ordu Sevgi Hospital.
