Upon Discharge From The Hospital

If it is decided that the patient will be discharged from the relevant department, the patient or their relatives will be informed by the attending physician and nurses about home care or ongoing treatment.

Before leaving the hospital, the patient must check with the department secretary to find out if any official procedures are required.

If the patient is employed and needs to submit an official document about hospitalization or medical leave to their workplace, they must inform their physician.

Based on the patient's medical condition, the doctor will prepare the necessary documents (e.g., sick leave report, board report).

The secretary checks the discharge paperwork.

If the patient does not check out with the secretary at discharge, they may still appear as hospitalized in the system despite having left.
(Note: No charges are collected from the patient or SGK during this process. However, the patient cannot benefit from services of other healthcare institutions.)
